Hold on
" Notice the little spaces where the light gets in "
I haven't visited this little place of memories made and shared for so long. The internet
has changed. The world has changed. Yet, what struck me as I nostalgically stepped into old photos this crisp, autumnal afternoon is. . . nature is still very much the same.
Perhaps we're all changed a little by lifes new way, now covid 19 has formed a home in our society. But, if you look closely, there is still so much untouched by lockdown, distance and precautions.
Autumn arrived like it always does. Frost gift wrapping the grass. Sunlight through bare tree branches and crunchy leaves blanketing the earth. The stars are as bright ever. Wildlife still takes steps out into the open, assessing these quieter moments with curiosity. The birds continue to sing too.
All is not lost. Not everything is changed forever. We have a different way now, but it doesn't have to take away too much of what we hold dear. So long as we continue to hold it dear. . . It will stay strong, in memory, in heart, even in our blurry, fearful days.
It's okay to feel tired, scared, unsure and unsettled. But just as Autumun came a round as it should, our good, simpler times will find their way back to us again too.
Stay safe. Keep hopeful. Hold on.
Xx
